The payment processor said their e-wallet app has added Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin options for its customers.
Skrill’s customer base reaches more than 25 million worldwide. With the new changes, customers will be able to buy and sell the digital currencies. Customers in more than 30 countries are allowed to directly purchase via the platform. There are a few exceptions with the accepted countries, and unfortunately USA and Russia are two of the exceptions. Due to legislations with the cryptocurrencies these two countries are not allowed to do digital currency transactions.
Skrill CEO, Lorenzo Pellegrino released the following statement,
“The world of cryptocurrency trading is exciting and dynamic, and our digital wallet service very much lends itself to this environment. We know many people want to experiment with cryptocurrency trading but don’t know where to start and we’ve made the entire process very straightforward.”
Pellegrino also said that with the integration of cryptocurrency their customers will have the ability to “easily and quickly” make transactions. Pellegrino also said that Paysafe, Skrill’s parent company, plans on rolling out digital currency services to the NeTeller wallet real soon.
