Bodog Expands into the Latin American Market with its First Stop in Brazil then Mexico

Bodog made a huge announcement this weekend, confirming its move into the Latin American market. Bodog said it will target Brazil first before moving into Mexico. The press statement released not only confirmed the expansion, but the recent sale of the network to PayWaingLuo, a Hong Kong based consortium.

Stirring to begin creating waves in new territory, Bodog said it will offer sports betting, poker and casino games in the new areas. The brand will also be the first company to offer an entire suite of payment methods including Bitcoin for deposits and cashouts.

Ed Pownall, Spokesperson for Bodog said in a press statement,

“The LatAm region has long been seen as a growth area for the online gaming industry but we felt leading with poker was the best point of entry as we have made such a strong name for ourselves in this arena.”

The decision was an easy one, especially with its new opportunities opening. The gaming platform is what has made Bodog, the brand famous since 1994, and what better way to share the experience than with the LatAm region and all its players.
