Hard Rock Casino and Ocean Resort Casino Apply for Online Licenses in New Jersey
The thriving online gambling market in New Jersey may soon get bigger. Reports confirm that two more gambling operators have begun the process to apply for online licenses. Hard Rock Casino and Ocean Resort Casino have applied to offer online activities in the garden state. If approved by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement the number of Atlantic City casinos offering online services will be seven.
The Hard Rock Casino was the former Trump Taj Mahal and the Ocean Resort Casino was once known as the Revel. Both plan on summer openings of its virtual activities if approved by the state’s regulator. Currently there are 23 online gambling sites licensed in the state.
GAN the British gambling company confirmed they have signed a multi-year agreement with the new owners of the former Revel Casino, AC Ocean Walk LLC to deliver real-money online activities sometime during the second half of 2018.
The applications were both confirmed by a spokeswoman for the Division of Gaming Enforcement, Kerry Langan. Online gambling in the state is at an all-time high right now. Just last year online revenues generated $245 million bringing its year-on-year growth up by 25%.
