LeoVegas Employees Undergo LeoSafePlay Training (Responsible Gambling) to Ensure Customers are Able to Enjoy Themselves in a Safe Environment
LeoVegas is strengthening its responsible gambling efforts by signing up to GAMSTOP. The UK-focused not-for-profit organization is to help enable players to restrict their gambling with online gambling operators across the UK. Customers that register with GAMSTOP has the option to exclude themselves from gambling online with licensed operators in the UK.
All of LeoVegas’ brands with LeoSafePlay has been integrated with the new tools to set wagering limits, pause or close account functions and session limits. The move comes after LeoVegas was fined by the UK Gambling Commission for “failings” of misleading advertising and the way the operator handled its customers with responsible gambling. There was a review, or investigation that found that 11,205 customers were not giving refunds when they chose to close their accounts and self-exclude. LeoVegas continued to send out marketing material to almost 2,000 self-excluded players. 413 players that were previously on the self-exclusion list were allowed to continue to gamble.
Gustaf Hagman, CEO of LeoVegas said, “In addition to LeoSafePlay, which is our overarching platform for responsible gaming, we are now taking yet another step to enhance player protection. Adding GAMSTOP shows our high ambitions in responsible gaming.”
