Land Based Casino

The Fertitta brothers have a cousin, Entrepreneur Tilman Fertitta is in negotiations to acquire the offload of the under construction Louisiana venue from Pinnacle Entertainment.
Landry’s Restaurants Incorporated, the Houston, TX based company owned by Fetitta already owns over 500 high end and casual dining restaurants.

“Due to our strong presence with all of our brands in the Texas and Louisiana markets, we are confident that we can grow gaming revenues in Lake Charles,” said Tilman Fertitta, CEO for Landry’s Restaurants.

Landry’s plans on compensating Pinnacle for the development costs, a sum of $213.9m, in addition to assuming all of the property’s outstanding debts. Pinnacle is releasing the property through the sale to Landy’s in order to gain approval of its purchase of acquisition of Ameristar Casinos Inc. from the federal government.

2UP Gaming is seeking to purchase a hotel/casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey. This requirement for companies wishing to gain access to the US online gaming market has received a Letter of Intent from an Asian investment group to the investment value of £215 million (US$330 million).

2UP Gaming Plc. is based in the UK and provides leisure and entertainment products in the gaming, wagering and lotteries segments of the gambling industry.
Caesars Growth Partners LLC has been approved by the Nevada Gaming Commission. Caesars Entertainment has been working on plans for the new venture since April 2013. The intention was to purchase a stake in the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas and interests in the Horseshoe Baltimore casino project.

Caesars Entertainment $550 million project, The Linq, is showing signs of progression. The attraction is set to feature open-air, pedestrian-only district packed with dining, entertainment and retail shops as well as a 550-foot observation wheel called “The High Roller”. The Linq is set to open in 2014.

Mobile Gaming

Stations Casino LLC is making it happen with plans to establish themselves for mobile users. The intended launch of a mobile sports wagering facility inside venues in Nevada will allow patrons to place wagers on sporting events using mobile telephones and tablet computers.

The Sports Connection Mobile app will be available for use with smartphones, ipads and tablets.

Will Hill is the latest online operator to sign with gaming content provider Microgaming. William Hill will now have access to the Quickfire Flash-based mobile online casino and soft games platform.
