Playtech Applies for Nevada License, Sees Future in Social Gaming

Playtech is among the latest companies to apply for a Nevada gaming license, the software provider who stated back in March that they are “looking forward to an exciting year ahead with potential new joint venture partnerships, new licensee prospects” is definitely keeping their focus.

Playtech has additional plans and will license real money gaming software, social gaming and real-money mobile software from Skywind Holdings. “Social gaming offers exciting growth opportunities for real money gaming organizations to apply their technological and marketing expertise says Mor Weizner,  CEO of Playtech.

Playtech will pay an annual license fee of €6m and 20 percent royalty on revenue generated through the use of the software in social gaming activities.

Weizer, further commented, “The Skywind software license delivers a cost effective entry into social gaming”, allowing the company to “offer a comprehensive and innovative solution to online gaming operators wishing to access the social gaming market and strengthen their mobile offering.

“Mobile and social gaming will lead the gaming industry’s growth and present significant opportunities for the company. With access to a sizable and proven development team Playtech will be able to maintain its position as the leading online gaming software provider. We will offer a comprehensive and innovative solution to online gaming operators wishing to access the social gaming market and strengthen their mobile offering. Similarly we will enable social gaming companies to access a full suite of products in social and real money gaming.”
