While the French online gaming operator – Chiligaming – is getting busy in anticipation of US online gambling regulation. Full Tilt has even more woes on its hands. Both US and overseas bank accounts belonging to Howard Lederer, Raymond Bitar, Chris Ferguson and others have been seized. This follows on allegation of a global “Ponzi” scheme levelled against Full Tilt Poker, and its owners last week. The allegations were made by the New York District Attorney’s office, and a Judge in New York has authorised the seizure.
In the meantime legitimate online gambling concerns are lining up to make themselves look good in they eyes of US authorities, and Chiligaming has nothing to fear. This is the first time they plan to target US online poker players and are planning to get the ball rolling now with a free-to-play social gaming poker network. This is a UIGEA-compliant network, it will use Chiligaming proprietary software technology, and will also include a wide range of social gaming features. The site has a multi-language capability, makes use of virtual currency, and will be accessible on multiple devices across various channels. This will include mobile gaming on iPhone, Android, tablets and through social networking sites.
This free-to-play network will obviously be used as a launch-pad, for when real-money poker games will once again be allowed in the US. Should this ever happen and legislation allows.
Chiligaming Director – Rohin Malhotra said – “This new platform is technically the most advanced on the market today“. He further commented that in a pre-regulation market such as that of the USA, online casino and gaming operators are understandably eager to enter this marketplace in a completely legal manner. Obviously growing their online presence prior to legalization will get them a foot on the door, and essentially allow them to hit the ground running when the action starts to take place. Chiligaming obviously sees the benefit in the investment, and their turn-key solution they believe, will make the perfect online poker partner.Written by Neha A
