MGA Approves eCOGRA to Offer its Alternative Dispute Resolution Service for Players
eCOGRA, an independent testing laboratory for the online gambling industry, has been approved by the Malta Gaming Authority to make their Alternative Dispute Resolution services available to players at MGA licensed online casinos.
eCOGRA’s dispute resolution service is available free of charge and has helped players for the last 15 years. eCOGRA is approved by the UK Gambling Commission to offer its services to the online gambling industry that are licensed in the British market. There have been more than 10,000 disputes to date that have been handled by eCOGRA. More than 1,150 online gambling sites are currently offering the dispute resolution services.
Tex Rees, a Civil and Commercial Mediator for the Alternative Dispute Resolution said,
“All Malta licensed operators are now required, in terms of the MGA Player Protection Directive 2018, to provide their players with access to an impartial third party dispute resolution service. Since many of our multi-jurisdictional clients are licensed by the MGA, we’ve made available our ADR service to these operators. We know, from their perspective, how important it is that they can come to us for a full suite of compliance services.”
