NetEnt, William Hill Land Based Content Deal Happens

Net Entertainment Launches First Land Based Game with William Hill

NetEnt, William Hill Land Based Content Deal HappensNetEnt recently released its first, of many games with William Hill retail shops across the UK. This is the first time the Swedish gaming provider has released one of its games at a land based gaming shop. It is said that many of their popular titles will become available for play at retail shops, but the first one is all ready to go live.

Last year, William Hill and NetEnt landed a deal for the content provider to provide numerous casino games to the retail network. The integration process took a little time, but is now complete with Starburst being the first game to go live. NetEnt pointed out that the games are being redesigned to meet the standards of William Hill’s customers.

Launching the games in the land based market is part of NetEnt’s multichannel strategy so they can provide operators with their most popular content via multichannels.

NetEnt’s Chief Executive Officer, Per Eriksson said that the company is delighted to have the opportunity to be able to provide William Hill with its top casino products. He also stated that William Hill is one of the UK’s biggest operators therefore this gives them opportunity to “maximize distribution.”

AS one of the leading digital casino solutions providers in the industry, Net Ent’s Eriksson is excited with the new partnership with Hill’ land based players. This opportunity affords the developer to branch out and reach a market other than the online presence that is currently stagnant says the CEO.

“Although the online casino market has shown steady double-digit growth in the past five years, online penetration is still very low. Today, only five percent of the global casino market is online, the rest comes from traditional, land-based gaming. Over time, we see interesting growth opportunities in the retail channel and our multichannel strategy will drive increased convergence between online and offline gaming.”
