IGT Gets Approval for Interim License by West Virginia Lottery Commission

International Game Technology Plc Received the Approval for West Virginia Sports Betting Product

International Game Technology Plc (IGT) announced this week that they have received the approval for an interim license issued by the West Virginia Lottery Commission for their sports betting platform. The approval means that IGT will be allowed to integrate its sports betting platform, PlayShot and supply casino operators across the West Virginia market with sports betting services.

This is huge news for IGT as well as the state of West Virginia. With IGT being one of the top leading gaming providers in the gambling industry, and West Virginia climbing on board with sports betting activity across the US market, operators as well as players will be able to place their wagers on one of the best platforms the industry has to offer.

Enrico Drago, IGT Senior Vice President PlayDigital commented,

“Receiving approval from the West Virginia Lottery Commission to deploy IGT’s PlayShot sports betting solution throughout the State continues IGT’s momentum in pioneering sports betting across the U.S., and creates additional new market opportunities for IGT. This distinction acknowledges the reliability, security and market-readiness of IGT’s PlayShot solution, and creates opportunities for IGT to further differentiate our sports betting solution in the marketplace.”
