IGT Receives Internet Responsible Gambling Compliance Assessment Program (iCAP) Re-Certification
Commitment for responsible gambling and player protection is a praise that isn’t left unnoticed, and International Game Technology was commended for its commitment it continues to give to follow compliance regulations of the Internet Responsible Gambling Compliance Assessment Program Re-Certification.
Giuseppe Portoricco, Vice President of player account platforms and iLottery at IGT commented on the re-certification saying,
“Responsible Gaming is at the core of every IGT decision. Whether it is an interactive game or a new technology solution, we are guided by this principle. Our goal is to always promote responsible play while creating a fun player experience. iCAP is helping IGT achieve this objective.”
The iCAP certification was first received back in February 2016 by IGT. It offers assurance to consumers as well as operators with IGT’s platforms and business websites offering the business-to-business market compliant guidelines in accordance with the IRGS, Internet Responsible Gambling Standards that was first developed back in 2012 by the NCPG (National Council on Problem Gambling).
“I would like to congratulate IGT on its successful re-certification. They have demonstrated a commitment to evaluation and improvement of their responsible gaming programs. The goal of our iCAP program was not just to verify compliance with our standards, but to encourage companies to incorporate responsible gaming into their core operations and to apply to responsible gaming the same focus on innovation that characterizes their development of gaming technology.” –Keith S. Whyte, Executive Director of the NCPG
In other news, IGT just announced that IGT Global Solutions Corporation, IGT’s subsidiary company has signed a new product sale agreement to sell 5,500 new lottery terminals to Western Canada Lottery Corporation.
