CryptoLogic Limited, a developer of branded online betting games and Internet casino software, has acquired the Maltese online gaming licenses for InterCasino from OIGE, a long-standing customer of the Company’s fully hosted online casino platform. The transfer of the licenses has been cleared by the Maltese Lotteries & Gaming Authority.
Cryptologic offers an extensive range of Internet gaming solutions, including one of the world’s largest legal online poker rooms. The company, headquartered in Toronto, said it bought the licenses for “nominal consideration” from OIGE.
Currently involved in takeover talks with Amaya Gaming Group, CryptoLogic could soon be acquired by the Canadian firm for upwards of £34.5 million with a final declaration regarding the proposed deal expected before next Thursday.
