Pennsylvania Casino Launches Online Gambling Site in New Jersey
A new online gambling site is being launched in New Jersey; the same operators who manage SugarHouse Casino in Pennsylvania is responsible for opening up the new site.
It was last week when an announcement was made on the SugarHouse Online Casino blog that they started beta testing for the new site called Playsugarhouse.com. The real money online site concluded its testing on Friday with the site accepting real money wagers on Saturday.
The new site is operating under a New Jersey Internet Gaming Permit that was issued to the Golden Nugget Casino in Atlantic City. It can be played by New Jerseyans only via mobile and desktop. The site is powering off of IGT, WMS, Aristocrat, High 5 Games, Shufflemaster, NYX and Bally.
The new site is operated by Rush Street Interactive, the online arm of Rush Street Gaming, the same operator who runs the land-based casino in Pennsylvania. Rush Street Interactive was one of the few gaming companies who was approved and eligible for an online transactional waiver from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement back in November of 2013. These special waivers allow for gaming companies, who are eligible, to operate in the state once they landed a deal with a license.
