Scientific Games to Provide Lottery Instant Win Games for Belgium Lotto Players After Securing Competitive Bid
Scientific Games is the new lottery instant win games provider in Belgium. They are replacing Loterie Nationale. It was a competitive and long process, but Scientific Games signed a one-year contract with the option to extend for three additional years.
Scientific Games created the very first instant game back in 1974. They now provide their games and services to more six continents as well as other lottery games, retail technology, services and systems to more than 150 global lotteries. They have had a sales growth from 2009-2014 of about 31% making the instant game category worth $80.4 billion.
John Schulz, Senior Vice President, Global Instant Products for Scientific Games had a lot to say about the announcement saying,
“Instant products, often supported by interactive second-chance drawings on mobile and web, continue to be the largest year-on-year revenue growth for lotteries in many jurisdictions around the world. Our expertise with instant games is unrivalled, and we believe we can empower Loterie Nationale with the analytics, strategy and creativity to entertain Belgian players and grow sales.”
Jannie Haek, Administrator Délégué for Loterie Nationale Belgium added to Schulz comment saying,
“One of the primary reasons we selected Scientific Games is the results experienced by several other major lotteries in Europe with instant game products.”
