MGM Resorts Together with GVC Holdings’ Roar Digital Agree to Power Yahoo Sports Platform
MGM Resorts and GVC Holdings’ Roar Digital has agreed to power sports betting activities for Yahoo Sports, a Verizon Media owned platform. The new deal is a multi-year partnership that enables Yahoo Sports to launch real-money sports betting across its app in the regulated states. The platform is scheduled to launch next month with all transactions taking place on the BetMGM sports betting and gaming app. The agreement will also allow Yahoo Sports to become an official digital media sports partner for MGM Resorts.
Yahoo Sports and MGM Resorts will collaborate with each other for the deliverance of live events, content experiences and promotional marketing efforts. MGM will also distribute content across several of its properties and gaming platforms while Yahoo Sports will host several multiple player events at MGM properties.
The partnership is a historic one with the new collaboration changing the future of fandom, engaging content and interaction through commerce. Verizon Media’s Chief Executive said the company believes in building products that will drive the connection with consumers and their passion to the highest value possible. MGM Resorts International’s Chief Executive added to the comments saying this is an important moment for BetMGM and the growing US sports betting sector.
